Food Service Management Trainee, Certificate

This career studies certificate is designed for individuals who seek management trainee positions in all the food service industries, including restaurants, catering, and hotel and motel food services. Students will complete an internship in addition to ten required courses as part of this program.

Event Planning, Certificate

Students will learn how to organize events, including meetings, educational conferences, and business conventions and exhibitions in this career studies certificate. Coordination of these events, to include finances, logistics, registering guests, and use of technology and audiovisual equipment will be covered. This program also emphasizes the importance of working with vendor contracts and surveying attendees to obtain event feedback. Coursework in this program can be applied to an associate degree; work with an advisor to determine the best way to use this certificate to achieve your degree.

This certificate is the equivalent of the first year of an associate degree, and can transfer into many bachelor’s degree programs.
