The Chancellor’s Retreat August 3-4 at the Hotel Roanoke will serve as a launching pad for Opportunity 2027, the new Strategic Plan for Virginia’s Community Colleges.  These gatherings, over the years, have played major roles in the production of three different six-year strategic plans and a statewide reengineering plan.

And with the inception of “Opportunity 2027” this event promises to launch our most ambitious, progressive, and important strategic plan yet. The Chancellor’s Retreat brings together presidents, their boards and the leadership teams from all 23 community colleges with the members of the State Board and agency partners.

This year, the VCCS is hosting the retreat as a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual options. Each college has been given a limited amount of in-person tickets which are distributed by the college president. With such limitations, the VCCS is also offering a virtual opportunity for members of our college community.
