Chancellor’s Retreat 2026 – Maurice Jones: Advocacy begins with building relationships

At the 2026 Chancellor’s Retreat, Senior Vice Chancellor of Strategic Partnerships Maurice Jones led a breakout session on effective advocacy. He challenged attendees to think beyond marketing and embrace advocacy as a year-round responsibility. Through powerful stories, strategic relationships, and a shared commitment to student success, Jones said every leader has a role in advancing the VCCS mission.
