Virginia is ranked number one in the United States for customized workforce training in the 22nd annual Business Facilities Rankings Report for the fourth consecutive year.
Business Facilities, a leading national publication for economic development professionals, recognized the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program for its success in delivering workforce training to new and expanding companies.
The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program is a workforce initiative created by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership in collaboration with the Virginia Community College System. The program accelerates new facility startups through the direct delivery of recruitment and training services that are fully customized to a company’s unique products, processes, equipment, standards, and culture. All program services are provided at no cost to qualified new and expanding companies as an incentive for job creation.
“As a partner in the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program, we are immensely pleased to see our workforce development efforts generating the kind of national recognition that serves to elevate the state’s reputation as an economic leader,” said Virginia’s Community College Chancellor David Doré. “Our commitment to serving business and industry goes beyond workforce training. By working side by side with manufacturers, we ensure our programs align with real-world needs, creating a talent pipeline that helps employers achieve their goals while strengthening Virginia’s economy.”
Additionally, Business Facilities also ranked Virginia among the country’s top five states for business climate. Read Governor Spanberger’s announcement of Virginia being ranked #1 in the Nation for Customized Workforce Training.
