Herndon serves as the primary strategic advisor to the Chancellor and leads the execution of the system's strategic priorities.
Dr. Felicia Ganther
Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic & Workforce Services
Ganther provides strategic leadership for statewide academic, student support, institutional effectiveness, and workforce development programs across Virginia’s 23 community colleges. Her portfolio includes aligning education and training with workforce needs, strengthening transfer and career pathways, and advancing.
Dr. Tommy Wright
Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance & Operations
Wright oversees the enterprise-wide fiscal management, human resources, IT strategy, and physical operations for the system's 23 colleges. More specifically, he supervises the allocation of state appropriations, allotments, and financial reporting systemwide while guiding workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and policy compliance.
Maurice Jones
Senior Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships
Jones is responsible for building alliances with businesses, industry leaders, and philanthropic organizations. On a more granular level, he works to align community college programs with the state's economic needs and drives public and private resource development.
Will Johnson
Vice Chancellor for Finance & Capital Resources
JJohnson oversees the system's financial operations, long-range fiscal planning, capital outlay planning and development. Additionally, he leads the development and administration, appropriation, and allocation of the system's operating budgets and resources. Johnson also ensures that all of the system's financial practices, accounting, and reporting meet Commonwealth of Virginia standards and guidelines.
Ewa Ready
Executive Coordinator
Ready provides executive-level support to the Chancellor's Office and works with system leadership to coordinate internal operations, communications, and governance.
Andrew Kachur
Executive Coordinator & Liaison to the State Board
Kachur serves as the primary administrative liaison to the State Board and staff to the Chancellor. Additionally, he acts as a central communication bridge between external stakeholders, the Chancellor and the State Board.
