Computer Science, AS

Students will take 19 courses in subjects such as calculus, science, and programming, as well as the humanities. This program offers foundational courses to prepare students for transfer. Students who are considering transfer into a bachelor’s degree must coordinate with advisors for successful transfer.

Cybersecurity for Local Area Network, Certificate

This career studies certificate prepares students for a position in network security. Students will complete three courses in information systems and networks and will be prepared to sit for the CompTIA Network+ and Security+ industry certification exams. This coursework can be applied to the Cybersecurity for Enterprise program.

Business Principles, Certificate

This career studies certificate is designed to introduce students to a variety of skills for the business workplace. Students will take four courses in business and accounting. These courses could be applied toward a degree when working closely with an advisor.

Business Administration, AS

This degree is designed to prepare individuals for business programs at a four-year institution through 20-21 core classes in English, history and math, as well as specialized classes in accounting and economics. Electives offer an understanding of business needs and practices and allow for a seamless transfer to many four-year institutions. Typical majors include accounting, economics, information systems, international business, finance, management, marketing, and public administration. Students who are considering transfer into a bachelor’s degree must coordinate with advisors for successful transfer.

Fundamentals of Organizational Leadership, Certificate

This career studies certificate prepares students for leadership roles in businesses. Students will complete six courses in management, leadership, interpersonal skills, and ethics.

Cybersecurity for Enterprise, Certificate

This career studies certificate prepares students for an immediate career as a network security expert. Students will complete eight courses in information technology on concepts such as Linux, firewalls, hacking, e-commerce security and cybercrime.

Computer Science specialization, Science, AS

This program offers foundational courses to prepare students for transfer. Students will study the principles of designing and coding software, algorithms, and data structures and will dive into the intricacies of computer architecture while enrolling in the 19 required courses. Transfer students should work closely with an advisor to ensure successful transfer into the student’s institution of choice.

General Education, Certificate

This certificate provides students with a solid foundation in critical thinking, written and oral communication, quantitative and scientific reasoning, cultural and social understanding, and information literacy, Students can apply the ten required courses to many associate degrees, or can use these to demonstrate skills required for an employer. This is the equivalent of the first year of an associate degree, and can transfer to many bachelor’s degree programs.
