Chancellor's Statewide Syllabus with logo

 Tuesday, June 27, 2017

You’ll soon have new tools at your fingertips to help students cut through the red tape and be better prepared in their pursuit of a degree or credential.

According to EAB’s website info regarding the Navigate tool:

“With 75+ partner institutions in 21 states, we help our members reduce attrition, communicate more effectively with students, and streamline the path to completion leading to an expected 3% gain in retention and 3.5% gain in persistence”… and a 4.6% increase in applicant to enrollee conversion.

It takes a village to help a student succeed. Increasingly that village includes both people and technology. Check out some of the biggest VCCS efforts underway to improve student success and see how they all fit together.

A new powerline worker training program is giving students (and their career opportunities) a jolt at Wytheville Community College… And speaking of power, a powerful new partnership in the Bristol region leans on Virginia Highlands Community College to help produce more new nurses, who are desperately needed throughout the area.

VCCS leadership honors faculty members from Germanna and John Tyler Community Colleges for their outstanding contributions to statewide community college initiatives.
