Attending a Virginia community college next fall or know someone who is?  There are some GREAT scholarship opportunities from the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education.  Applications are due Monday, May 16th Students can apply for the scholarships directly at https://vccsscholarships.awardspring.com and the opportunities include:

  • Valley Proteins Fellows Program:  Open to rising 2nd year students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential. In addition to receiving up to $5,000 for tuition and books, Fellows participate in a unique leadership curriculum.  
  • Potomac Health Foundation Fellows Program:  Open to rising 2nd year students pursuing a career in a health care field/setting that involves direct patient care or a career that supports healthy communities, such as health care administration or medical research. Applicants must attend Germanna or Northern Virginia Community College and reside in the following zip codes:  20112, 22025, 22026, 22079, 22125, 22134, 22172, 22191, 22192, 22193, 22554, and 22556.
