The VCCS Office of Professional Development and the New Horizons Executive Committee have announced the 2016 Excellence in Education (EIE) Award finalists. Thirteen projects were chosen by the New Horizons Awards Committee as finalists out of a total of 27 projects nominated (the largest number of entries ever received).

A special congratulations goes out to Blue Ridge Community College, who leads the pack with three finalists, and to Piedmont Virginia and John Tyler who each have two finalists.

The EIE awards program provides an annual opportunity to showcase, celebrate, and share the best practices, ideas and innovations of colleagues across the VCCS that contribute to teaching and learning, student success and the strategic vision of Complete 2021: One Goal. One Future.

The finalists will compete for top honors at the New Horizons conference on April 13, 2016, in Richmond.
