Piedmont Virginia Community College’s Great Expectations program has been selected as a top 200 finalist in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program. The top 40 causes will be selected by public vote for a chance to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm.

Great Expectations at PVCC is part of a statewide initiative that serves current and former foster care youth by providing resources, tools, information and guidance to empower them to reach their educational and career goals, while assisting them in their transition into a healthy and successful adulthood.

Public voting to support grant applicants is being conducted online. The deadline to participate is 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018.
