Foundation Priorities
Great Expectations

This innovative, nationally recognized program helps Virginia’s foster youth earn the postsecondary credentials they need to achieve an independent and successful life. Great Expectations is offered at 18 of Virginia’s Community Colleges.

Rural Virginia Horseshoe Initiative

The Virginia Foundation for Community College Education has launched the Rural Virginia Horseshoe Initiative to tackle the challenge of preparing people in the state’s rural horseshoe for the jobs of the future.

Working hand in hand with Virginia’s 23 Community Colleges, the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education seeks to guarantee financial assistance to all students who dream of attending college.

When you support the VFCCE, you support access, affordability, and student success at EVERY Virginia Community College. We invite you to join us in our mission of providing access to education for all Virginians.

Funding Excellence

Students at Virginia’s Community Colleges need your help. Public funding supports only a basic level of programs, services and facilities.

Excellence demands a greater investment.

Less than 40%

From the state

As enrollments grow at Virginia’s Community Colleges, student needs outpace diminished state funding and shrinking budgets.

Support from donors like you funds those unmet needs. Your contributions are an investment in Virginia’s future that yields a profound return, enhancing the quality of life for all Virginians.
