The Office of Professional Development is proud to announce that Virginia’s Community Colleges are now a co-sponsor of the Lilly Conference Series on College and University Teaching and Learning. The VCCS joins other exemplary institutions of higher education, including Johns Hopkins University, Pennsylvania State University, and Villanova University, in sponsoring the Lilly Conference Series.
For over 35 years, the Lilly Conference Series has provided opportunities for college faculty and administrators to engage in an exploration of evidence-based teaching and learning. Multiple Lilly Conferences are held around the United States each year.
As employees of a co-sponsoring institution, VCCS faculty, staff, and administrators are eligible for the following benefits:
- Discounted conference registration rates
- A letter from the conference director that may be used as evidence of faculty development efforts during the accreditation process
- Opportunity for faculty to access a private meeting space to be used for team building, sharing, brainstorming, or socializing
- Opportunity to meet with Todd Zakrajsek (Conference Director) at the conference for an informal discussion of a topic of your choice
Important: When registering for a Lilly Conference, please indicate that your college is part of the Virginia Community College System, who as a co-sponsor is eligible for discounted registration rates.
