Virginia's Community College Career Coach Programs
Virginia’s Community College Adult Career Coaches assist community college students, adult education students, and One-Stop Career Center clients in developing career and postsecondary education and training plans. For more information, see our Adult Career Coach Page.
Currently, Adult Career Coaches are located on community college campuses in On Ramp programs and Middle College programs. As a result of a $24 million Department of Labor grant, each of the 23 community colleges began to hire adult career coaches and experiential learning/job placement coordinators in Spring 2012.
Virginia Community Colleges High School Career Coaches are community college employees who are based in local high schools to help high school students define their career aspirations and to recognize community college and other postsecondary programs, including apprenticeships and workforce training, that can help students achieve their educational and financial goals. For more information, see our High School Career Coach Page.
