Teachers are in demand throughout the Commonwealth and Virginia's Community Colleges provide an efficient pathway to becoming a licensed teacher.

All of Virginia's Community Colleges offer associate degree programs that lead to guaranteed admission at more than 20 public and private colleges and universities in Virginia. In addition, Virginia's Community Colleges have created specific agreements with colleges and universities offering Virginia Department of Education approved teacher education programs.

These agreements provide students with specific information on their responsibilities, while the curriculum guides clearly list the courses that they should take in preparation for a seamless transfer.
