Early Childhood Transfer
Boost your career in the child care industry by getting a bachelor's degree in early childhood education / child care.
Virginia needs a highly skilled early childhood professional workforce to ensure our youngest citizens live up to their fullest potential.
Virginia’s Community Colleges are uniquely positioned to help – by providing high-quality education and training for early childhood and child care professionals.
Thirteen community colleges offer early childhood programs for approximately 2,000 early child care students each year.
Now, Virginia’s Community Colleges are embarking on a program to encourage a statewide curriculum in early childhood education, with unique articulated transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities providing opportunities for students seeking applied degrees that lead them straight to the workforce.
These applied degrees help child care workers meet the highest quality standards and earn the highest salaries in the industry.
Check out the agreements below that lead from early childhood programs at Virginia's Community Colleges to applied bachelor's degrees at four-year colleges and universities.
