~Dr. Bruce R. Scism will become DCC’s 5th president effective Aug. 1, 2013.
~He is vice president of academic affairs at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tenn.
~Born in Danville and raised in North Carolina, Scism is connected with the Danville area.
