Since 2006, the VFCCE has awarded over $650,000 in scholarships to 227 students. The foundation seeks to provide access to education for all Virginians. With awards ranging from $500 to $8000, the scholarship program continues to grow and help students across the state enroll in community college and pursue academic and career success.

Ten extraordinary second-year students attending a Virginia Community College will be selected for the new Valley Proteins Fellows Program. This prestigious scholarship will award up to $5,000 for tuition, books, fees and expenses. In addition to the generous award, the Fellows Program will provide recipients with the opportunity to share in special experiences to enhance their academic and leadership potential. |

Three scholarships are awarded to first-time college students at Patrick Henry Community College to recognize Governor Gerald Baliles' many contributions to the improvement of education for all Virginians. | Established in memory of the late Curtis Dougans, a Page county resident, this scholarship provides financial assistance to a student who is enrolled or accepted in Lord Fairfax Community College and plans to attend Luray-Page County Center. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

Established in partnership with the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, this scholarship is awarded every two years to a student admitted to a nursing program who has demonstrated ability and commitment to enter the practice of nursing.
