Welcome to the Science (SCI) peer group meeting information page! This year's SCI peer group meeting will be held November 9-10, 2012 at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Virginia Beach, VA. Further details about this meeting will be posted on this page as they become available.

Onsite registration for the SCI peer group meeting opens at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 and begins with a VCCS-sponsored lunch at noon followed by a full afternoon of sessions. Dinner is on your own. The meeting continues Saturday morning, November 10, 2012, and concludes at noon. The complete agenda can be viewed here.

Hotel reservations at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel must be made by October 14, 2012.
The VCCS Office of Professional Development (OPD) will cover one (1) night's lodging and tax for each participant whose campus is fifty (50) or more miles from the site of the peer group meeting. Those whose campus is two hundred (200) or more miles may stay the night prior to the meeting as well.
Hotel reservations are the responsibility of the participant and must be guaranteed with a personal credit card. Hotel cancellations should be made directly with the hotel. No-shows are the responsibility of the participant.
 In order to be afforded the coverage and protection of our VCCS' contract with the hotel, you must follow our hotel booking procedures. To reserve a room or to inquire about the hotel's cancellation policy, please call the hotel reservations number noted above. Do not reserve your hotel room through the hotel's website (unless we indicate otherwise) or through an online booking site (i.e. Orbitz, Expedia, Kayak). |
