Are you interested in participating in robust discussions about best practices for teaching and learning?
Would you like to get to know more of your VCCS teaching colleagues?
How about an opportunity to take some dedicated time to talk about your role as a professor and how to engage your students in deeper and more meaningful learning?
If these appeal to you, then you’re a great candidate for a VCCS Faculty Learning Community. It’s free and it will make a difference in your teaching.
The faculty learning community (FLC) will begin in the fall 2010 semester. Members meet monthly (most meetings will be virtual) to share ideas and to discuss best practices. This is neither a committee nor a task force. It’s your time to engage in your own professional development.
All VCCS faculty are welcome to apply online to be a part of a faculty learning community. The FLC will convene in September and work together during the 2010-2011 academic year. For more information, contact Nan Ottenritter, nottenritter@vccs.edu or Nan Peck, npeck@nvcc.edu. You may also consult the following website to learn more about faculty learning communities.
