The Project Management Office has developed Complexity Level Indicators and a Project Scorecard to be used in conjunction with management experience as an aid in assessing a project's complexity level. The complexity model therefore is used to aid in determining the level of documentation and oversight that is appropriate to guide a project to successful completion. Note that any project can be managed at a complexity level higher than what is assessed using these guidelines.
